IINA

IINA is a free, open-source media player born to be a modern macOS application, from its framework to its user interface. It adopts the post-Yosemite design language of macOS and keeps pace with technologies like Force Touch, Touch Bar, and Picture-in-Picture, with a carefully crafted dark mode. Powered by the open source mpv engine, IINA can play almost every media file, and with youtube-dl support and browser extensions it can play a variety of online streams and YouTube playlists in one click. Features include a music mode, mouse and trackpad gestures, thumbnail previews, online subtitles, system media control, a customizable UI, and a plugin system. Written in Swift and licensed under GPLv3, it has been translated into more than 20 languages and is in active development.
